Going backpacking in Thailand, wondering what to bring?

Everything is so cheap in both countries, anything you need you can decide on as it comes up. I backpack in southeast asia alot and I usually just go with a backpack, 3 days worth of clothes, plenty of socks, tennis shoes, bug repellent, and I buy more clothes and such once I get there since they are cheaper.
