Help me with the SAT essay !! Please!!?

Though I know the general format for the SAT essay, I am not exactly sure about the supporting examples for the 2,3 and 4 th paragraph. Is is historical, literary, and personal examples, respectively?..If yes..then do personal examples really work??..caz i heard they don't...anyways...what are some of the common examples that can be used...such as martin luther king, gandhi, etc. for Historical .....and I have not idea whatsoever about the literary examples?... about which books should i write?......I know that it often depends on the subject..but still..there are some books that u can always refer for different exampls...which are they ,,,plz suggest something?..I am messed up with my essay ...!!U kno what i am talking..like as in Luther king, he can be used as an example for sacrifice, loyalty, courage, struggle, etc....i mean such common stuff....so ......i desperately need some book examples...if u have any links ..then please give those...thanks for all my helper friends ..!!c u .
