Help with a pot luck??

We are having a pot luck at work, mexican style, I am bringing hamburger meat seasoned with taco seasoning, what would be the best way about cooking this? cooking and putting into crock pot under warm setting so it does not get cold, or cook over night in crock pot and leaving on warm at work? Any suggestions please?
